Studies on Blood Glucose Levels in Cardiovascular Accident Patients

Abstract

|
Fasting blood glucose levels of 67 serious cardiovascular accident patients due to hyperten￢sion were measured as early as possible by using the Hemascope* method. In 50 of the 67 patients it showed the glucose levels of more than 126mg/dl. Therefore, it has been proved that there exist high rates of diabetes or prominent glucose intolerance tendencies in the serious cardiovascular accident cases due to hypertension. In regard to treatment at an initial stage of the cases, it is suggested that deep concern about control of glucose levels would be necessitated.
